What We Offer

Location

We specialize in In-Home Personal Training. You can workout in the comfort of your own home or condo. We will bring all the necessary equipment with us. You can also workout with us at the Institute of Human Performance in Boca Raton, FL.

 

Senior Fitness

We specialize in training clients that are in their 70's, 80's and 90's. David DiPierro has over 20 years of experience in one on one training with senior clients. He has the knowledge to allow you to exercise and challenge yourself without going past your limits. Workouts will be designed with the goal of increasing your quality of life. Exercises will include balance training, band exercises, bone strengthening,  body weight exercises and the use of small dumbbells.

Stroke Survivor Rehabilitation

 

I am very passionate about helping people. If you or one of your family members have been disabled by a stroke, you have a very special place in my heart. My Mom had a severe stroke when I was 13 years old. I observed the Physical Therapist who came to our home 3 days a week for years. He was able to help my Mom increase her ability to walk and function better on her own. This difficult experience motivated me to learn more about fitness and rehabilitation so that I would be able to continue helping my Mom and other stroke survivors.

 

Over the last 22 years as a Fitness Professional I have worked with multiple stroke survivors, clients with ALS, and many other clients with disabilities. I have a style of fitness training that has been successful in helping my clients increase their strength, balance, coordination, and happiness. These clients tell me that our workouts together are the highlights of their week. After receiving consistent and heartfelt feedback like this over the years, I am motivated to continue my passion for helping people rehabilitate or in some cases simply maintain the level they are currently at. My goal is to increase your quality of life and help to restore joy.

One on One Training

Our method of personal training allows us to keep the client moving for the entire session. Exercise’s are grouped into mini circuits that include 1 upper body exercise, 1 lower body exercise and 1 core exercise. The upper body rests while the lower body works, and the lower body rests as the core works and so on. Each mini-circuit is repeated 2 to 3 times.  The client rests while the next circuit is set up. This method allows you to maximize the amount of calories burned and increases cardiovascular endurance through resistance training.  The specialized method that we designed allows many of our clients that are in their 80’s to workout in this way.  Our senior clients perform a difficult exercise followed by one or two easier exercises.

Functional Training
Exercises that focus on movements not isolated muscles. Multiple muscle exercises result in increased physical ability and burn more calories.

Core Training
All workouts will incorporate core training. The “Core” made up of muscles of the abdomen, thighs, gluts, and lower back. Everyone needs core strengthening exercises. We utilize stability balls, exercise bands, medicine balls and body weight exercises to work the core muscles. Having a strong core reduces lower back pain, tightens the abdominal region and increases athletic power.

Post Physical Therapy Injury Rehabilitation
Insurance companies are shortening the amount of rehab that they allow each year. Every day people are released from physical therapy with a list of exercises that they are supposed to follow. Most people don’t continue to do the exercises because of lack of motivation. These people end up having the same injury reappear because they stopped the therapy too early. We will be there to supervise and motivate you to continue the therapy and increase your overall fitness in the process.

Sport Specific Training
We will design your workout to increase performance in your favorite sports.  We use medicine balls and thick exercise bands to work the upper body and core. We use plyometrics, agility rings, body weight exercises, sprints, ect. to train the lower body. Many of our clients have seen great improvements in their Tennis, Golf, Volleyball and Pickleball performance!  David DiPierro has extensive experience in training professional athletes.

Fat loss
If your goal is to burn fat, we have the workout for you. Your entire session will be spent moving in some way. This keeps the heart rate elevated and burns the maximum amount of calories. We also utilize high intensity interval training(HIIT). This is a proven fat loss program that increases fat burning hormones and decreases fat storage hormones (ex. cortisol).

About David DiPierro

David DiPierro is a South Florida native having grown up in Pompano Beach.  He graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale in 1994 and went on to study at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Wellness in 2000.  David completed his four month internship with Juan Carlos Santana, owner of The Institute of Human Performance (IHP) also located in Boca Raton.  Additionally, David completed a one month internship in the cardiac rehab center at Memorial West Hospital in Hollywood. For the last 20 years,  David has been passionately training many of his exclusive clients at The Hillsboro Club in Hillsboro Beach. 

David is a retired Professional Beach Volleyball Player and has competed on multiple pro tours (AVP, NVL, EVP, Dig The Beach Series, Toyota Pro Beach East, Corona Light Wide Open) just to name a few, nationwide since 1994.  He had a well-known reputation for his dominating jump serves and defensive digs.  David is currently a Driver-Engineer/Paramedic for the city of  Boca Raton Fire Rescue. He operates the Special Operations/ Hazmat truck.

David's experience with training clients up to the age of ninety years old coupled with his knowledge as a paramedic, give him a unique ability to train clients with a wide array of health problems.  To quote David, “You are never too old, too weak, or too out of shape to benefit from a personal training session.”  David has the patience, knowledge, experience, and ability to improve your quality of life.

As a former professional athlete, David knows what it takes to excel in sports.  He has been trained by some of the top Fitness Professionals in the country and has made a name for himself as one of the top Fitness Professionals in South Florida!
